Safety over boost blow off valve?

Wondering if anyone has came up with this one before

Principles is very simple, a blow off valve and a wastegate combined into one, sits on the cold side right before the TB, it opens at a particular boost level, (little higher then the max you plan to run) this will prevent over boost, if other components malfunction.

The HKS racing BOV is also a pop off valve. There are two nipples on it. If you run manifold vacuum to the top nipple it works as a BOV. If you run manifold vacuum to the bottom nipple, it works as a POV. If you run both, then it will work as both a BOV and POV. They sell it with different spring pressures for different POV ratings.

I think your looking at the racing type II BOV. That one is quite expensive. The type R bov is what you want to get.

no, someone sells just the pop off valves..I saw their ad in a magazine but I can't remember who it is. they make stuff for WRX's, turbo smart I think?
