ive got a 3"dp and 3" test and my stock cat back is a huge bottleneck. I'm going to the track in a couple days and am wondering if just for that day I could remove the test pipe and run an open dp. only concern is there are no mounts for the dp other than the transmission one which i dont have hooked up yet. would a free hanging 3" dp possibly induce cracking near the turbo housing/manifold?

no way...

dump+front is bugger all forces on the gaskets etc. Although..depending on material...having further support is good insurance..

adding a 3inch-4inch exhaust...that'll stuff it up eventually ...irrespective of an exhaust gearbox mount.

Cheers.Chris
