i have a ka24e that im about to turbo...the compression was 165-170 all the way...165k miles on motor...i have 370cc injectors, SAFC..but im just wanting to run on boost on stock motor first...whats the recommended psi to run on a T3 Super60 .48/.60 internal wastegate, FMIC, Cat-Back, MBC...Im just wanting to run boost to see if motor holds together, any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

As long as your compression is good, you should be fine with whatever boost level you are wanting to run. You just need to make sure to have it tuned properly raising hell with it. 10 psi on that turbo would probably be the max you would want to go before stepping up to bigger injectors, and upgrading to the Z32 MAF.

Becareful running more then 8lbs of boost with no timing retard. Your stock MAF should be maxed out at 8psi or so anyway.

ill prolly stay at 4-8psi for now, when do pistons/rods go? MAF? What timing should I run if im using all the things listed before at that psi setting? Answer for stock motor and everything, and with upgraded injectors and SAFC please..thanks

Like everyone, I suggest no more than 8psi. The stock MAF will be maxing out at this point.Injectors should be able to give you enough fuel for 10psi, but by then its best you upgrade your MAF. There are guys running from 10-15psi on stock internals with no problems. Remember every car varies and some engines hold more than other. All depends on maintenance the engine gets. Most people retard about .5deg/psi, so for 8psi (0.5*8=4) you should retard about 4degs.

I"m going to turbo my ka24e also. Only plan to run 7lbs. Just need to be able to move i and have a little fun. I'm sending my other KA24e to the shop and when i get it back going to be running close to 20lbs. So I want to be as cheap as possible right now. Already got a small intercooler and a turbo. Need manifold, piping, boost controoler, fuel pump oil feed lines, and buying SAFC. anything else I need that i'm missing? Will I need new injectors at 7lbs?

if the engine is well maintained, it should run almost forever on boost. my engine was turboed since last 2 aprils ago, and saw over 30K miles and i just did a compression test and i still have 180 psi across the board.

the 370cc's will be good to about 9-10psi, depending on the turbo. stocks are only good to about 3 or 4psi unless you use a fpr. with a fpr you can run a little higher, 7-9psi, but i wouldnt go more than that on the stock injectors
