ive got it all hooked up, the car runs. but, the afc reads that my car is at about 1030rpm when my tach says its damn close to 1650-1700. it also wont idle any lower than this. the revs drop kinda slowly too. im confused, i followed those horrible broken english instructions as closely as i could. anyone have any ideas what could be wrong? ive also gotta go drive somewhere in like, 15 minutes, so a fast reply and solution would own.

thanks, tim

Make sure you got the # of cylinders right. RPMs get weird when this isnt set right.

what was the problem? maybe you can post the details of your installation and someone can make it a sticky? i plan on eventually getting a safcII as well.

it continually freaks out because good ol' mr. intelligent over here, along with his dad managed to forget to connect up a power wire, so it forgets everything when i turn it off. i must have just forgotten to re-program it before i turned it on. ill havethe wire connected tomorrow, as im horrible at soldering and my dad rules it with an iron fist. the install was easy, so im told, except forgetting the wire thing. my dad got bored and did it while i was on a school trip. just follow the instruction book or download the instructions from http://www.apexi-usa.com -there is a link to them at the top of the page, under some announcement thingy.
