I've been going through the wiring on my car bit by bit trying to sort out all the gremlins. most recently i ran into this: my safcII is not reading revs. I checked the wiring all over the place. the tach signal wire from the harness going in to the ecu as well as the harness going up to the afc and it's reading .4 on my multimeter all the way down the line. that's what it should be reading right? for a while i thought that i had shorted out my afc. but it's getting voltage from the tps and maf. it turns on fine and saves my settings. it's not possible that just ONE function could short out is it? by the way i've got the in/out settings at 2in 6out. (z32 maf)+(180sx sr20det ecu). any help would be appreciated...

is it because you have a SOHC Tach or has it just never worked?

the stock tach has not worked since i've gotten the car... if i run a wire right from the cas (white wire) to the green tach wire on the afc, it should definitely work right???

im not sure. i have mine running straight from the Yellow/Red wire from the ECU. if your not getting signal from the ECU then it could be a problem there or with wiring. i guess it wouldnt hurt to try to run it from the CAS.
