Hi, Can anyone confirm that the knock meter on the SAFCII works with the KA? I was considering buying the MSD Knock Alert, but now I find out about the Apexi. Does it have programmable alerts, and/or gain adjustments?

Thanks!-Jamie

I don't even pay attention to the knock meter. I focus on the wideband instead. Nick

A wideband is good but not a total fix, a thermostat can cause you to detonate. Running to much timing retard can cause really high EGT's and lead to detonation. So a knock meter is a really good thing to have.

i still have to play around with that setting more, but you have to calibrate it before its of any use. you let it warm up and then rev to 3 different rpm's and set it. you can also program the warning to come on at a certain knock level. not sure how accurate it is though....

Sorry for the late response - I still expect automated emails from the old NICO system. Anyways, thanks for the replies. It's cool that the Apexi does indeed sport this feature, too bad it isn't better[than what I'v heard]. Sounds like a 'glam' feature, but I'll look into this possible calibration anyways. money money money...argh... I'll keep everyone posted.

Thanks!-Jamie
