Just like the title says cause price wise it all comes out to pretty much the same thing., right now thats all Im missing for my project and then all I have to do is Come back from Iraq in Sep and start putting everything in heh.

My current setup is going to be.

IAP Stage 1370cc CA Injectors /w home made resistor boxNGK BKr6E-11s Gapped to .036MSD BLASTER SS CoilOIL COOLER10" ELECTRIC FAN

Im just wondering wuts the better choice for that setup. I really don't plan on running more then 10PSI Untill I do a rebuild next summer.

THX

370cc CA Injectors /w home made resistor box

Why would you do that when you can get injectors that dont need resistor box?

Cause I got the Injectors cheap and a resistor box takes like a whole 45 minutes to make if you want to make it look pretty and, it dosent take a lot of time to wire it in heh. If I ever upgrade to higher ones that dont need resistors its not hard to take it out too.

yeah alot of the readily available injectors are peak and hold so we have to have a resistor anyhow. I picked up some DSM 450cc injectors for 50$ and I'm sure he can too, when the time comes that he needs them. I got the injector resistor pack from the car for an additional 20$ but he'll get his made for lots less than that.

to your question it's all a matter of personal prefrence on the boost control. I am using a Hallman Manual boost controller and it's working just fine. granted I have to pop my hood to adjust the boost, I can think of alot of other things to buy w/ the money I saved from buying an electronic boost controller. things like a reliable boost gauge (which doesnt come w/ the IAP kit ) If you have the money and really want to spend it on a EBC go for it but I dont have an reccomendations as far as they go.

Yah, yah well the thing is too, can I tune with the Greddy Profec too? and it also has a build in boost gauge display heh so there is no need for a boost gauge unless U want something pretty heh. I guess my main question is too, if anyone has tuned with the profec and how they like it. Cause I tuned my buddies turbo prelude with the safc2 and It was pretty simple. Im just wondering if the all in wonder profec is what they claim it is.

really well I'm thinking about taking my AC out, but yah someone told me a 10" might be too small, so Im going to go to a junk yard and pick up a dual thx man. Anyways I did some more homework, and I learnd that the profec dosent tune unless you have the e-manage. So im going to go in your steps Ant heh. I looked up the Hallman boost controller and they have a new one out where you can have a knob in your vechicle too heh maybe you should look into it too bro save you sometime opening you hood and burning your self with the turbo :p. But anyways as for tuning I think IM going to go with a safc, question is, should I go with the SAFC1 Since I Have a KA24E? or dose the SAFC2 have better tuning capabilites? Thanks.

It's my understanding that the SAFC II just has a prettier display. As far as tuning goes they are both limited to adjusting the ECU input 50% +/- in intervals of 500 rpm so I would venture to say they are virtually the same.

SAFC I manual

SAFC II Manual (its in Japanese)

Have you considered E-manage? It would hook up to E-01 and tune timing and fuel all in one box, plus it's an EBC (E-01). But the tuning process is gonna be slightly longer because your redoing a 16*16 map and then possibly a map for timing but I'm betting the tune would be better in the end. Just my .02

yeah, and you can pick emange up for under $400 on ebay.. maybe even $300.. buy the box new, or even used, and get all the harnesses you'll be using.

Well if I was goin to get an emanage, Id just got with the new Greddy Ultimate and hook up my laptop to it heh, much cheaper. BUt for my needs especialy if I'm only going to be running 7 to 10psi my SAFC willl work fine. Thank tons for the input guys. Maybe down the line when I rebuild the engine a emanage is a great Idea

yeah, that's what i'm doing.. i'm going to buy a safc II and wideband instead of emange, since i'm only going to run about 8lbs.. but after I rebuild, and up the boost, i'm going with emanage
