SAFC2 question

ok my friend just bought a new safc2 for his mr2 but got into financial problems and has to sell it. he said he would sell it to me for $200. my question is, are all safc2's the same or do you have to order them for you vehicle. or do you have to get a wire harness for your vehicle. i just want to make sure it will work on my 240 before i buy it. also is this a good deal? its brand new.

thanks, i was pretty sure it would work. now i just have to figure out how to use the thing. i have no experience with these. i figured i could smooth out my a/f's a little better than they are w/ my hacked mafs.

hey, doesnt the safc have a knock sensor built into it?

it reads off of the factory knock sensor. i wouldnt go by it though since u cant really relate to it. people tell me as the engine temp increse so does the knock reading, that doesnt really help.

definitly pick it up. once u get it in, after 10min you will learn how to use it

i just got it, but my car is not in the instruction install manual. it has the s14 w/ sr20det but not the s14 w/ ka24de. where can i find some instructions on how to install this?

ok one more question, can i use the 95 ecu pinout to wire the safc to my 96? i searched everywhere but all i can find is the 95 pinout. i saw that the 2 are only slightly different by only a few wires so does anyone know if they are the same for the wires you need for the safc? also i saw that i am going to have 2 or 3 unused wires wires from the safc. is that right?
