Well, im wiring up my SAFC2 right now becuase i got off my lazy *** and found some wires and what not, so i made a subharness and everything to put it together and i finish it all, then i go to the car to start wiring it up and get the ECU disconnected and bam... first thing i notice when i take off the plastic cover is... the red wire is just hanging out doing nothing and the pin is completely gone, its always been like this though, i suppose i can just stick it on the ignition wire that all my gauges and HKS controller are hooked up too, unless someone else has a better idea.

Also, for the knock signal, should i use knocking signal 1?

Knock signal #1 will work just fine. That is the pin I used for my SAFC II.

Ran into ANOTHER problem.. the ****1ng RPM signal and Knock signal pins are missing, and i found the IG power and ground wires.. they're there... but the RPM and knock signal 2 pins are completely gone, i only need knock signal 1, which is there... but the RPM signal is gone... which id really like to have, i dont understand it though, becuase my factory tachometor works.

Wiring specialists did the wiring for me, although i dont think they needed to pull those certain pins, unless they did that for the KA/RB harness hybrid. I guess ill give them a call tommaro.

More discoveries

Here is something i dont understand.... The RPM signal wire is gone.... but the tachometer works.... the maf signal wire is gone.... but IT works, and im pretty sure the second knock sensor is working... those three are gone, but the motor runs fine and idles fine, and has been doing so since february. I am confused as to how those wires arent connected to the ECU but still working.

Remind you i had my wiring harness done by the Wiring specialist down in texas so i could see how they did thiers for future reference, but i cant find the pinout diagram i made of it, nor the millions of pictures i took of it for future troubleshooting. So if at all possible, can you guys help me out here?

Bingo,

The reason i didnt notice it becuase when i flipped it over the other pin was missing, so i was like..... where the **** is it? I found one of the pins had somehow freaking come out so i stuck it back in and i also didnt think about it either becuase the two power and ground wires i had it stuck to before and checked to see if it worked, it did, and it appears that the two wires IT SUPPOSED TO go on, have the same effect, so i just switched it all around and it works now. Now i just need to go dyno tune this baby.

Also, i've searched and come up dry, Does anyone know where to get the SAFC2 manual on how to "USE" the ****er? I have been to apex's website, and the japanese website, and the japanese website has the HOW to use on its page, but i cant read it... the english page has the how to use, but its for the freaking SAFC 1. The old version, which doesnt do me any good.
