I was wondering what would be effected if the 'IN' and 'OUT' on the SAFC are not set correctly? If it isn't set right, will it just run rough or will it mess with the A/F or what? Thanks.

if the safc is hooked into the ecu, the 'in' 'out' settings have to be correct or the car will run like crap. it could run extremely rich or really lean. either way it sucks

OK cool thanks, the only reason I asked is because I have a Enthalpy ECU tuned for a Z32 MAF but I am currently running a stock SR MAF and wasn't sure about the IN and OUT.

you need to get on the apex'i site and download all their service manuals. it's the only way to be sure you've got it setup for your specific car. i believe the 'in' setting for the z32 maf is 2. as for the 'out' setting, it depends on what ecu you've got. you just gotta do some research. you'll learn alot!!

I've tried looking on their site and asking around but can't seem to get a solid answer. And since I don't have a dyno at my disposal or the cash for a wideband yet, I don't wanna guess at what it is so I was hoping someone on here would be running either of the setups I asked about so I couold get a solid answer.

No one can give you a straight answer because every car is different. If you have an S13 ecu tuned or not I would think that your SAFC settings for OUT=6 and your IN should be according to your MAF. Mine is IN=1,OUT=6 that with a Z32 MAF and a S13 redtop ECU. I don't really think that it would harm your engine if you played with the numbers, someones gotta do it whether it be you or a shop. The car would just die or idle rough. I say with the car in the on position set OUT=6 and with IN=1, start the car. If the car starts up with no problem, then you're good to go. If the car dies then set IN=2 and start car again. If it starts with IN=1 but idles rough like its gonna die then turn the IN to 2, if that does not help then go up one setting at a time. I hope that helps.
