do I need a fancy safc 2 or a safc will do? and why?

Well, its got a few more options, best one I like is the knock monitor.

the SAFC 2 also has *i think* 16 points of correction as opposed to the 8 points on the SAFC 1

the S-afc 2 also has 2 settings, so you can have it for street and another map set richer for drag.

they both have many of the same fatures, the s-afc 2 is a little more "user friendly" to tune..thats really the main difference...both have the knock sensor feature, as long as your car has one on it(it IS a piggy back, remember) that you can acess, both have plenty of corrections points for 90% of all cars, and both ahve different MAF settings independant of the ECU...

if you can get a S-afc for cheap, get it..I got mine for a deal since they were being discontinued...otherwise, by the s-afc2 and be happy.

I liked my safc2 so much, I bought a second one. Don't ax, there were shipping delays and i really needed one asap for emission test use. So i ended up with two, and i really like the black case in my black/black car woot!!1
