safc not reading throttle position

so i wired up my safc2 the other day, and everything works except it isn't reading my throttle position. obviously, this creates problems, seeing as it needs a throttle reading to correct the a/f reading. does anybody know what could be causing this problem? i'm almost 100 percent sure that i wired it up correctly (the throttle signal is the white wire in between a white and a black one, if i'm not mistaken).
