On a redtop SR.
Here's my set up.
Cylinder set to 4, arrow up
Sensor 2 in 6 out
I've got a Z32 wired up. The car starts up fine and idles fine for a little bit then dies.
When it starts my wideband is reading 13 (stoichish). then when it starts to die it jumps to 17 (lean).
I havn't messed with anything other then just the intial set up.
Is this normal? I really dont think it is but maybe I have to adjust the settings before the car will run right. Anyone know?

what computer are you using to run that engine and did it run fine before you installed the SAFC? Check your connections, solder them if they arent already.
If connections are your problem then look for directions on how to solder (more than one sorce is always better) and get a 150-400watt gun (not weller or weller style), you should be able to find a nice gun for $30-$60. Practice on a few pieces of wire outside the car!

Have you tried just stock maf + safc ii yet to eliminate the possibility of anything wrong w/ the z32 maf side? Just makes things simpler in my opinion.

So double checked all the wiring. Resoldered everything. Still starts up leans, out and dies.
So I decided to mess with the settings because I remember reading on here that some people had to change their settings cause SAFC II is weird like that sometimes. I changed the sensor from
2 in, 6 out which is what redtop SR with z32 is supposed to be
to
1 in 6 out
Now it idles fine. A little lean around 15. I havnt been able to actually drive the car because of the weather so I dont know how it does other then idle and revving it.
