Hi!

I tried the search but i couldnt find anything simmilair to this issue.

Due to a shortage my SAFC has been reset!I tried setting the SAFC to my car but i dont know what to set the hotwire settings to. I have a RB20 maf installed on a Ca18det.Currently set to 02 in 07 out.but i dont know for sure if these are the rights settings.

The manual says this under 180sx CA18DET : HW-7, meaning hotwire 7.7 in or 7 out? Do these number even apply since i have the RB20 maf installed and not the stock maf?Apexi isnt that clear about this issue :S

Does anyone know about this?

THANKS in advance!

7in 7out is correct for the stock CA maf. For the rb20 maf, you are going to need to look in the apexi manual and find out what the stock setting for the r32gtst with the rb20 is. Then you use that number in, and 7 out.

They used to have it on the apexi web site in .pdf format. I don't think they would have gotten rid of it, as they still make the thing. Scour their site, I'm sure you'll find it.

I looked in the Apexi manual for KA maf sensor types but its not listed there. But at least you have the last number for CA : in (blank) out 7You could try getting in contact with apexi somehow to find out the right number for the KA.

i found out this about the KA sensor type settings:

ETC Menu: Sensor type: Hot-wire: 1in 6out: 2in ADDout Car Select: 4 cyl thr -> (arrow pointing up) Initialize (this is the menu you use to reset the safc)

Maybe this link comes in handy:http://www.ka-t.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8089

according to the link ^ the z32 mafs is set at 2in 5 out which in turn leads me to assume the settings on a CA with a KA24E mafs would me 2 in 7 out?mebbe?

So that means that this counts for the z32 mafs also, so yes busted13 you should use 2 in 7 out for z32 maf.Allthough it would be different for a KA maf. I cant seem to find the stock sensor type for KA mafs :S

Good luck anyway

i need it only if it lists the hotwire settings for the CA engine, and the KA24e MAFS, ive been asking this question for some time, and noone including the APEXi website wants to tell me, its upsetting, would be good to have it available in the collection of good info on this site though.
