Hey Guys, Couple of quick questions

1. When I tune with the SAFC, are the changes I make instant, or does it take a few seconds to take effect?

2. On the Sensor type, I think it has to be 5 in 5 out, is this correct?

3. What is the Sens CAL. SUppose to be? I see there is 1 in 1/2 out, 1in 1 out, or 2 in ADD out.

4 I have a Turbonetics Evolution wastegate. It has two vaccum ports, for the top one it says I should " Plug with filtered vent" Does this mean I should plug it, or can I leave it open to the air?

Thanks for the help

Those are the setting that I am running but it hasnt been to the dyno. The setting might take a few seconds but I am not sure. No clue about the wastegate since I dont have a turbonetics one. What turbo are you running?

I am interested in the WG question too. I have the TiAL, and mine is setup the same way. I would think boost would be on bpttom, and filtered ambient on top, but I could use some confirmation.

The side of the wastegate is for a vaccum line. The top is for a electronic boost controller. That is the way I have my tial hooked up

So then we can just run a vacuum line from the manifold (like say to splice into the brake booster line) in order to get a signal for the wastegate. From there, a manual boost controller will be installed inline?

the boost controller is connected to the side connection. the other one is just for vent or if you are using an electric boost controller you have to use the top one for another vacuum/boost source

If using a manual boost controller (bleeder valve type):Get the signal from anywhere from after the turbo to before the throttle body. The closer to the turbo the less PSI you'll reach but less chance of spikes or overboost. The closer to the TB the more PSI you'll get. Also the WG will open at the "correct" PSI reading on your boost gauge (installed after TB). This signal should be routed through the MBC (or the MBC should be Ted off this line) and connected to the side port of the WG.

If using electronic boost controller (wastegate control type):Get one signal from anywhere after turbo before TB and connect it directly to the side port of the WG. Get another signal from after turbo and before TB and route it through the EBC's solenoid and connect it to the top port. Make sure to select Wastegate in you EBCs setup.

Ideally, you want it on the cold pipe RIGHT before the throttle body, so your engine will see the full boost the spring is set at.

If you have it on the hot pipe, you're engine will see a percentage of the boost, depending on the efficiency of the intercooler.

The lower nippe of the wastegate goes into the hot/cold pipe, and the upper one is unused, unless you have a boost controller

I got all that from searching

ok, say I'm not using a MBC/EBC, i have the bottom port hooked up to the compressor outlet. Can I just leave the top port vented to open air?
