SAFC 2with Larger Injectors before Boost

Hey Guys, Can you throw in larger injectors and tune it well enough with a SAFC 2, before throwing the turbo on? I want to have the SAFC 2 and injectors installed a couple months before putting on the turbo and such. But only if I can tune the EFI well enough for the larger injectors to run good for a couple months. Is it possible and will it run decently? Thanks Guys.

yep, i had 370cc's, a walbro, and the safc2 in for like 4 months while n/a with the stock comp. everything ran great, except for real cold starts. i would have to give it a few revs at anything under like 20 degrees.

So you set yours SAFC2 at -27% for the whole rpm range to get down to the flow of the stock injectors right. 370 - 27% = 270 ????

Yup, that's what a lot of ppl do. Helps w/ the down-time.

For each car, it may be a lil diff +/- some % and depends on the state of the injectors. But theoretically, yes -27% across the board (at higher throttle/rpm, you may want to set it a lil bit less for safety so you don't accidently lean out if injectors are used or whatnot).

Only way to REALLY know the right #'s is to go to a dyno and tune it for optimality b4 turbo.

yep, i set it to around -25 at first to see how it worked out. took a couple wideband runs at that setting and ended up being way rich, so i pulled a few more percent accordingly.

i ran -30% when i was NA across the board. i think my high throttle map was -27% or -25% for bits and giggles. o ya, i was also using 370s.
