I recently posted about having a MAF issue and was seeking the help or advice shall I say from all of the members that have been so helpful in the past!! What started off as helpful turned into ignorance and personal non car( MAF) related opinions! I have a MAF issue and have stated I have ordered them and received the wrong parts.. Not that I can't afford a NEW MAF but why buy new when I could get a good used one!!The car has been parked in my garage more than it has been on the road! Just to inform the members who have chosen to let their ignorance shine through.. I am a Business Owner and YES I walk around in business suits daily and YES I own a 12yr old vehicle as well as a newer one but must say I love this car and at one time I did have only this car( which got me where i needed to be with only 107,400k as of now!) and I did all the things that I needed to and was told to Until it seemed like I was dropping $$$$ on what wasnt needed! and not all infinti dealers are quick to look at a 12yr old Q.. TRUST ME! But anyways..... Its sad to see such a great site with such cool helpful people with nothing better to do then turn whats suppose to be helpful into needless INSULTS.. No matter how much money I have in the bank.. Im proud to pull up in my Q!!! Being a Q owner you would think you would understand!!?? Very Sad to SEE!

Hey, me too! I don't wear coat and tie every day, but I have no problem parking next to the new MB (when the are not at the dealer's for repair) in my 13 year old Q45. Kind of makes a statement about where I allocate my resources.

Have to say, I did see a J30 yesterday with 3 large portholes in each fender. I was very glad I didn't have my concealed carry permit yet. I would have had to put it out of its misery.

Let me apologize for everyone. I'm one of the moderators on this forum, so it's my responsibility to keep things on track.

But, seriously, the posts were not actually directed at you, personally. A lot of us are here every day and we sometimes go yammering on about nothing. Your thread just got abused in the process. Also, posts are often meant to inform future readers, so they're not necessarily directed at you.

I'm going to merge your most recent thread with your earlier one:

Here we go again - 96 Q45 MAF

... and delete the junk.

Again, you're right and we're sorry.

I thought the original comment was directed at owner's who drive their cars into the ground while saying "Hey, look at me, I am driving a (insert name of car driver cannot afford here)!"

To say it was directed at anyone on this board who is trying to maintain their car for safety, performance and good service is a little bit of a projection I would think.

This board is not about personalties, rather the cars are the central focus. So if you have a wounded heart, be sure to check where you are wearing it.

Yeah. It's so easy for online communication to go astray, though. On the one hand, we talk to each other every day, usually understand where it's coming from and where it's going. All us regulars know about past frictions and how they've worked themselves out (or not). On the other hand, that's not the purpose of this forum.

An analogy comes to mind. Buncha guys sitting in a garage when a customer comes in - they talk amongst themselves about her problem in a way that feels disrespectful to the customer. Not polite, no?

C'mon everyone. You don't always need to post what you write. Think for a moment before you hit the post button, ok? Hm, let me rephrase that.
