About a month ago I posted looking for the program CD for my Nav. jnxelectronics replies he has it but wants to trade for the MCA1. He emails me he needs it by Oct 31 since he is transferring to a different base. I make an image for him and upload it since he needs it immediately. I give him my address to ship the CD, but got nothing. Sad thing is I've given the image of the disk to a lot of people for nothing in return, so he didn't even need to do all this to get the CD. He felt the need to lie and deceive, apparently from his emails he is an air force office. You would expect more from someone serving our armed services, but guess not.

Didn't realise this was going to turn into a military bashing topic. Might want to rethink your opinion there - Ever heard the phrase "They risk their asses so we can run our mouths"? The folks in the military are regular people like you and me with families and homes. They do what is needed to save their own lives at times, and it's easy for someone to sit at their computer and badmouth them while some kid who wishes he was home is sleeping in the sand tonight. Maybe pay a bit more gratitude to those who protect your freedoms fighting on foreign lands instead of right here in your own back yard. Remember how you felt on 9-11? It was probably something like "How in the holy name of **** did this happen in America???" Without our military fighting forces doing what they're doing, you might not be flaming people online in English. I personally know plenty of people in Iraq and a few that have gotten dead over here, so pay a little respect, would you?

On the flip side, there are alot of people who will throw "I was in the *insert generic Armed Forces branch here*" Especially at car dealerships - I show my military ID and they go "OH, I was in the Navy, blah blah blah..." Ask what command they were with and the stumble, trying to remember some random name from the History Channel they saw the other night. Be careful who you trust, but please don't blame someone's dishonesty on the fact that they may or may not be active duty, enlisted or officer.

Typical of a Canuck.

Keep your pacifism out of this thread.

I have the image of the CD i made, thats not an issue. In his emails he made it sound like he would not be sending me a copy of the disk I wanted unless I agreed to trade disks with him.

I held up my end of the bargain, him not so much.

Ive given the disk to anyone who asks for it and even posted the link to the image on my server. Im more pissed about the principle of him having to lie about he'll send me the disk I wanted if I gave him mine.

Sorry to hear about it dude, that's a total bummer.

Adnan, I guess I don't have to say anything because SixGuns already did. Just think next time, that was a really ignorant statement to post. I'm sure you're going to get a lot of flak from others as well. I guess everyone is entitled to their opinion, insulting or not and there's a reason why that is, just think about it.

Eh its all good. Not like I lost money or lost anything. I have too much faith in people and got disappointed. He should have searched around before making the fake story of promising me that he sent it and if its not there by monday he'll send me another one, I had the link to the disk posted in a few other infiniti/nissan forum for anyone to download.

Sorry guys, but I've read this little post about 20 times, and I have no idea what the heck he's trying to say. Maybe it has something to do with his incredible bad spelling and grammar skills?Unfortunately, that's so typical of people his age.

As for Sixguns, all I can say is: Right on. Well said..

you guys are being hypocrits and stereotypical.

1) i am a proud canadian and have the utmost respect for any soldier, and realize the price they pay for our freedom and standards of living.

2) adnan is only a year or two younger than me, so people our age DO realize the importance and reality of war.

so if your going to defend your opinions, do so, but dont add to the stupidity by being stereotypical in return.

as for the cd, that really sucks, but maybe hes a forgetful person, or is just so damn busy MOVING that he forgot...if you dont see him active on the forums then maybe its a sign.

i used to download world rally videos from a guy on other forums who lived all the way in australia...he stopped posting for a month before i realized he passed away in a motorcycle accident.

its just a cd you didnt lose any money and im sure youll find it somewhere else if you look hard! good luck

See now when you say that you're doing the same thing by making a blanket statement, AZhitman speaks for himself, not everyone. Yes I'm sure we would all agree that Adnan is a flaming douche nozzle and I'm sure most would agree that he doesn't speak for all Canadians, only his cousin loving inbred self.

i probably should of made myself cleaner on thisi dont meant to disrespect anyone and if i did i apologizedon't take my views as ignorant...i respect the "military men" and treat them as every other being out there...i probably should of mentioned this before but i just dislike armies in general not for their "fighting for freedom" that we strongly worship butrather some of the unacceptable behiavor and bitter aftermaths that often results in wars.

I respect and understand your point of view. Nobody likes war. Unfortunately, it's not generally the rank and file soldier that causes the kinds of problems you allude to, but rather the wonderful leaders of these said armies and countries. The poor soldier is merely caught doing all the dirty work because he probably has no choice.

i agree with you on that...but then again not every soldierplays by the rules an thats what disguts me...i dont wanna give all soldiersa bed rep due to a few...heck im sure its only a small percentage who are crooked however i find it unbearable ...once again i dont mean to offend anyone and i apologize for that and i certainly dont represent the views of all canadians when i speak...but rather my own

i know someone mentioned earlier that my age might be the reason why i feel this way..but who knows maybe the down the road my views will change

All good.

I retract my broad generalization of all Canadians as limp-wristed pacifists who smell of bacon.

I'm just not sure hockey is enough to offset Celine Dion and Nickelback.

Bastards!

p.s. Adnan, make sure you hit up the Politics forum. You'll love it there.

You're gonna forgive them for Bryan Adams? There should be border partol checkpoints just to make sure he doesn't get into our back yard with his little flappy head....No, really, nothing against Canadians...you guys aren't as bad as the French. But I guess that's like saying rape is ok 'cause it's not as bad as murder. But rape still has a funny accent.

Laughed my as* off when I read all these posts - thanks I need it. The US Military rules. Used to sit on the wing of an F-111B in the UK while my dad worked on radar wiring harness in the plane's snout. Those were great times.......

My British grandad had half his dome ripped off by shrapnel in WWI. Played spoons on the fuc*er to amuse us grandkids. That was one tough SOB.

Quick QX-4 tip of the day: NEVER use a green scouring pad to remove stubborn bug chunks from your fancy QX headlight lenses. I am an idiot....but.....I shot back to genius level when I used my Mothers brand rim polish and remove all of my evidence. I know Scotch makes some nice plastic lens polish, but damn, this worked nice.

Take care all.
