Guys, a recurring theme in the CA18DET forum is members go on a long hiatus and then return to say HI. Well, unfortunately, I'm back... but sad to say, I've given up on my ca18det dreams and ambitions. After a short 89,000km, the original CA18DET is not heading back into the car.

I've hit a time crunch for an emissions test and decided to slap in a SR20DET into my Silvia. As a result, I'm stepping down to a slower motor (it'll be stock) but will actually get to drive the car for the Summer. Last year the Silvia sat in the garage with a dead CA living inside the engine bay, I geared up for a GT2871R upgrade (from a t3 super .60 top mount) with SDS stand alone ecu. What didn't bother me was my second son was born in Feb and I got to live the dream with my wife and 2 boys. We had a great summer but the CA18 sat neglected for another year.

I don't know a more dedicated bunch of CA18 enthusiasts than here. I have some custom built parts and geared up for a SDS EFI install with parts made by one of our CA legends Dee. I'll create some for sale threads and would like to see my good parts head out towards the community here.

- Last known image of my CA18DET in running shape. Was dyno'd at 254 @ 14psi, I bumped it up to 18psi and blew a h/g on a high speed run.

- Before the long sleep, sitting with a happy and spunky CA18 in the engine bay.

If anyone wants any parts, pm me.

I have 3 motors and 2 transmissions, 1 wiring harness, 1 ecu with romulator, 1 SDS EFI EM3F standalone with all sensors & modified crank pulley (Dee) but not harness.

1 block & head but no intake, is in good shape, i was in the processing bolting the intake, flywheel+clutch and then accessories over.
1 complete longblock, was starved of oil, i would have gambled on it, but i got the above motor anyways.
1 was rebuilt but on startup had rod knock.

Make an offer and come pick it up.

I also have:
CA18DET motor mounts - ~200 KM
T3 Super .60 with custom log style manifold and downpipe.
- Turbo needs a rebuild, the thrust washer is loose. (in/out is tight, up/down is loose)

I'm guessing the log style mani is a topmount? OK I was under the assumption that you had one complete motor lol whats the romulator i've heard of it but don't know anything about it. I may be interested in alot of your parts especially since tax time is around the corner....Is the t3 journal bearing or ball?

Here is what I have left:
- CA18DET Nismo motor mounts
- Top mount T3 manifold w/egt tap, log style, custom job from a newbie welder!
- CA18DET exhaust manifold blank.
- T3 super .60, journal bearing, thrust washer needs to be replaced.
- Samco hose kit for CA. (Fit with my KA koyo rad.)
- CA butterfly control valve assembly with mounting bracket and vacuum hoses (didn't work on my car, either the solenoid is broken or it has a vacuum leak)
- CA Flywheel with rebuilt clutch. Was rebuilt by a local company called Eurodrive, it was built to handle ~400whp. It was holding 14psi and 254rwhp, and 18psi at ???rwhp. Lots of meat left.

Although you can't pm as of yet, you should be able to read it. Check it and let me know.

It's a standard CA18DET head that has been professionally re-conditioned with fresh valve seals, 3 angle valve job, mirror-milled surface and pressure tested. The head is a 8 port variant and I only have one that I can afford to let go as I usually rebuild and sell CA18DET engines for people who want them built right. I'll send you a PM with the price of the head.

Thanks
