another q45 is lost.

my q45.
it all started in December 14th (yea i know late).
i got up early to check the fluids in the q, before taking my sister's to school and nephew to daycare, and i also checked the motor mounts too.

i thought to myself man this guy really took care of this car!! the motor mounts were still intact.

so i dropped everyone off and was heading back home. then this car cut me off making me go into the ditch.
everything was ok. the idiot kept driving though.

head back home so my mom could take me to work then my brother to school.
i seen the time and thought to myself i can walk they want me to come in on my day off anyway.
but my mom came out and left my brother to finish getting himself ready.
she dropped me off and the last thing i said before seeing the car in pristine condition was: i checked the motor mounts they're good.
my mom say: that guy really took care of the car huh?
and i told her my thought's exactly.

so i go into work me and the guys were talking about 5minutes later one of my co worker's said can i help you.
i turn around and it was my mom out of breath barely able to stand.
i had a box of parts in my arms and dropped them and asked her what happened.
out of breath she said she had an accident and the car is messed up.

i figured she probably spun out and a couple of the winter wheels got damaged.
i was sooo wrong.
i see a ford Taurus front end smashed as I'm walking with my mom , holding her up.
and i told the paramedic that my mom whole right side hurts very bad.

they put her in the ambulance and i walked to the car...
the driver side wheel separated from it's spokes and i though OK that's fine i can put the infiniti wheels back on.
the other side...my mouth dropped.
the right rear quarter panel was dented in.
but the wheel took the most brunt of the hit.
and inside you can see all that technology that Nissan put in was damaged beyond repair.

the exhaust was completely thrown around.

when we got to the hospital and my mom stopped crying enough to tell me what happened.
she was in the center lane to proceed into the left lane going north. there was a car in the right lane that was cruising and as soon as my mom put on her signal to move over the other car speeds ups.
hitting my mom causing her to fishtail into oncoming traffic. which the Taurus hit her causing the Q to do a 360 and rest up on the sidewalk.
she said the car was still running too.

she got out and asked the other driver if she was ok and the lady say's you hit me.
in the ambulance my mom told her what happened and she was sorry.
the lady's response was, i know your son he shop's at the store i work at.

then in court my mom told her side to the judge.
and also said she didn't mean for that to happen on her grand son birthday.
and when the other lady spoke...she had a nasty attitude. still saying my mom hit her.

then the judge looked at my mom and told her...you know your a nice woman and i'm sorry this misfortune happened to you.
but unfortunately you have to pay for the ticket only (which was $25..improper lane use)
but it wasn't her fault...

and my mom being the bigger person, hugged her crying and still apologizing.
and the lady's response again?! you don't tell the judge that i hit you.

Wow, what can we say? Sounds like improper lane change. Signalling intention is no protection.

maxnix funny that you say that. the judge told her the reason why because the car that hit her and made her lose control and fishtail onto oncoming traffic was the reason she got the ticket.

well she still in the infiniti family.
she now has an 99 i30t
