soo as you may have already read sad day here been gone a while from here all cause family things came up and had no time for my infiniti. well just a couple weeks ago had the pump go out on it replaced it and now has some engine noise im pretty sure a lifter finally just dropped on it as its ticked for a long time but it needs an engine rebuild along with alot of other things, abs issue, havnt replaced my bad door actuator yet(have it but not installed), power steering leak/pump worn out, and other little things.

soo the main reason for this post is to say im putting this up for sale mostly because i dont have the time right now and money to fix it :frown: its not in bad shape just really has the engine issues that i dont have time for soo could be used for parts or anyone that wants to restore it and take care of it. has just over 201K pretty much just 100% stock just has a aftermarket radio and i added a j30t spoiler to it for looks.

well if anyone is interested send me a message with a offer or more info and we can talk kinda hope to sell this soon def sad to say bye to it as it was my first car :( had some good times. if this doesnt sell most likely ill just be taking it to the junkyard to get rid of it but would rather sell to someone that would love it and fix it up and turn it into a daily driver or whatever they want it to be.

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3806505/1 ... -sedan-4d/
theres my cardomain of it but doesnt have the sound system anymore or the foglights other than that its still the same look but ill post more pictures later when i go take some.

also like to say when i joined this thread it has def helped me out alot when i had issues with it. will def be around still but probably not too much due to family things. well cheers everyone and hope you all keep this great cars going as well as they did when they left the showroom floor :bigthumb:

Don't know if you've read this story before, but a few years ago I parked our '93 J30t (170K miles at the time) due to a leaky water pump. It took me a few months to collect all of the parts to change the WP, oil seals, timing and accessory belts, etc, and every few weeks for one reason or another I had to start the car to move it. A lifter started ticking and every time I started the engine it was louder. After I got things done, I added about half a quart of Castrol 20/50 synthetic blend and in a few minutes the lifter was quiet. The next day I changed the oil and filter, and converted. Things are still good, though I haven't put many miles on the car, but there hasn't been any lifter noise since then either. Good luck.

J's are funny cars. I've had similiar experiences like GerryO, where the "idiot" lights light up one day and disappear weeks later after the next startup. Best of luck!

Let our race J sit a month it wakes up with a plethora of upper end noises, they all are gone by the time it warms up fully, it takes some getting used to.
Saying that we may be looking for the next parts car to support our racing efforts, after crashing a couple years ago the parts car got upgraded to full on racecar so it may not meet a undignified end if it comes to me buying it.
Please let me know before it has to get junked.

thx for the input guys i know it had a lifter tick for a long time just was a quiet tick but it has been getting driven for while right before it started making the noise badly so think it finally took a crap lol. ive always put in synthetic blend oil and changed it every three months/3k miles although it always hit the monthly first so it was changed regularly. i just dont have the funds to maintain this and my truck i have as well as other things. i would love to keep this car dont get me wrong. i do see some other J's around town and most are in great shape which is nice to see. still have it as it hasnt moved since i parked since i started this thread not really havin any luck selling it local. $1,000 OBO

Please leave some way for us to get in contact, cant pay $1000 for her but would like a chance to negotiate for its continued life before meeting a undignified end in a crusher.

In a few weeks will be driving from West Palm Beach to Charlotte motor speedway for the last race of the year to run our J perhaps see/buy it on the way up/back, this would be the easiest way to do a deal as we are several hours apart and I only travel to race.

Will it reliably drive a few hours to a new home?

oops sorry silly me i forgot to give contact info lol 941-914-5288 my name is David or can call me Dave
can call anytime but may not be able to answer as im usually busy during the day but can call or text me about any questions or offers on this
i am willing to negotiate the price just give any offers.

yes it runs and drives i believe it would make it just fine for a few hour drive just noisy is all. everything works how it should other than the issues i have posted above. other thing i didnt post it does need a alternator belt still there but some of the groves are gone and tends to slip at idle due to that and the power steering leak.

J30tChumpCar: i actually thought about doing something like you are doing just dont have the amount of time or anything to do it but best of luck to you in your races and hope you do well great to see a J in this type of racing

This popped up a hour away from me,bought it http://miami.craigslist.org/mdc/cto/4159610343.html
I am happy with the color, (matches what I have) but its hit harder then it looks, runs fine, crap brakes/ABS out, may start parting it in a few months for its window regulators and other parts not needed to support a race effort but dont want to disable or expose the interior just yet

Hey I'm new here! Anyways, I have a '94 J30t that's making somewhat of a ticking noise under the hood, but I have every reason to believe it's my timing belt tensioner. Just saying it's not a bad idea to check. For now the car's in the garage outside waiting for me to buy the kit to replace everything in there

well i added some engine restore oil additive to it as i have done this before and the tick has gotten lots quieter but still able to hear it a little bit. ended up having to replace the alternator belt as it nearly fell apart on us and couldnt charge the battery or anything lol oops. power steering pump has gotten even worse to where it now doesnt even create any pressure and is nearly impossible to turn sitting still -__- figured this would only get worse though as i knew it was going anyways.
still has abs issues i havnt messed with or even checked in a while may not even bother with it. other than that its still in the same condition. it is being used at the moment as a back up car but still for sale.
J30tChumpCar: man looks like that car has went through alot lol but good find for what you need. if you end up still needing another car in the future let me know and ill let you know if i still have it.

going to also add on that this has 4 brand new tires on it with very low miles on them, also has new tension rod bushings (or radius rod if thats what you want to call them). if anyone has followed the little bit i have been on here the transmission was rebuilt with all new clutch packs and bands roughly 10K miles ago maybe less, as i have forgot how many miles were on it when i did it.

RE the power steering, have you stuck your finger in to remove the filter screen insert right under the cap? While it is a simple piece it is very misleading and will cause you to think there is fluid where there is not enough leading many people to believe there is more wrong than in reality, oh use regular ATF
*Drools on the tension rod bushings*
Please take my phone # and store it, call me to discuss things whenever the time comes, right now I am happy with the spare parts on hand but that can change with mood, available parking and if I had a good $$ week

yea i have removed the screen and filled it up with it running. pump can no longer create pressure along with the pressure hose leak on it. i shall also add that the oil leak or combination of that and the power steering leak causes the alternator belt to slip a lot and discharges the battery. its usually pretty bad while driving in the city. highway speeds its ok though.
haha yea those bushings make a huge difference in the way it rides. costly though for them.

car is no longer in use and is 100% for sale now. i am open to any offers.
