As I was driving out to dripping springs (TEXAS) to see my g/f I drove by an oil change shop over by sunset canyon to see my good friend Dave. I pulled into the parking lot, and noticed a beautiful dark blue s13 hatch with a silvia front end conversion. I inquired about the vehicle to find out the engine was no good. they popped the hood on it and then I wanted to cry. The little red s13 sr was in pieces being removed because the #4 cylinder had problems and blew the valves. anybody on here know who owns it???

I've been hearing of a few SR's taking a crap here lately. One of my buddies here in town had a redtop in his hatch.....it went kaboom. He wasn't forcing any extra boost or anything. It had a FMIC and a BOV, and it still gave out

its too be expected with an aluminum block engine. When heated up a few too many times, the head and/or block surfaces warp and the engine's days are numbered.

Maybe the one reason why i actually consider having a CA engine instead.
