Just for the heck of it, I bid this one to $20K (66% of trade-in) and didn't even get outbid! How sad... I guess I should be careful on what I bid on - I might mess up and buy one accidentally.

Well, it is from Florida. Aren't FL and TX the states to NOT buy used cars from?

Those are the states that have loop holes for "washing" titles. Not to mention, if it's in FL, it's lived through 4 huricanes this past year.

Austin TX and Brooklyn NY for me.

Service records and inspections are key.

The majority of bids on ebay occur in the last few hours. But if you do win and it's below market, just flip it.

Shhhhhh!! Don't tell anyone how underrated they are, that way those in the know can enjoy a best kept secret.

I'm with Heavy. The less people that know about them (and feel they NEED one) the less I pay for my next Q/M/G. Granted, this is balanced against Infiniti/Nissan's need to succeed in biz or pack up and go home (which none of us want, I think!) but all in all I didn't buy my wheels to be one of the 'cool' people but rather I felt it was what I wanted to drive. I'm a long way from replacing my Q but if I was going to start looking today I'd feel pretty good about my Infiniti options! A cherry, near new Q for low to mid $30s (if not better), a last run, first gen, BRAND NEW M45 for mid to upper $30s. The G35's may be the worst DOLLAR buy out there (in the newer car lineup) , esp. the coupes. But when I see one, even I feel THAT need. And if that's what you want to drive then they are still a great value when compared to the other brand's models in that class. Then there's the Z.... Don't even get me started.... All in all, it's probably a slightly frustrating time to be an Infiniti shareholder/engineer but I think it's about as good a time ever to be an Infiniti buyer....
