Hey guys (and gals?). Has anyone recently ordered the S5 grill from Active Tuning? I want to place an order, but not while it's on back order. I don't have patience for that, even if I will receive one quicker that way. And, if you do have it, was the install confusing? I can NOT understand what it says on their site, but it's probably b/c I had ADHD when I was attempting to understand it.

Someone hit me back and let me know what's up. If you ordered one recently, did you get it? If so, how long did it take?

Thanks ladies ;-)

PS - My SE-R spoiler came in - install by Nissan on Thursday. can't wait.

Yeah, I meant SE-R Spoiler - let me edit that. Everyone's like "Wow, this guy is either drunk, or has extremely short term memory"

They are charging me $130. I believe it's just to mount it and connect the 3rd light. I don't think that includes them disconnecting the high mount 3rd light in the rear window or the $90 cover that replaces the 3rd brake light housing (yes, 90 f'n dollars!). I told them I just want it mounted and the light connected. I'll take care of that other crap myself. I'll let you know the details after it's done, and include a pic if I have the opportunity to take one and get it on the PC.

Ugh, no shyt I've been slackin. I brought it to Nissan Thursday and they couldn't do it without a template - the spoiled came with t-strips that ur suppose to take on to know where to drill. And they said the screws weren't good enough to use to install without stripping the metal. I was like "omg, draw a f**ken template on cardboard and use better screws and I'll pay you" they wouldn't do it, and Nissan won't send me a template because although it's an OEM spoiler, I didnt buy it from them. Plus the light doesn't have a connector, you'd have to splice into the wires. They are so retarded. Apparently I need to bring it to my customs guy to do it, b/c Nissan once again is retarded.

Ive been neglegent toward Nico bc my life sucks lately. My dad has been in the hospital since July 1st and my 2 year relationship ended July 6th. Everything just sucks and I'm so unenthused to do anything. I haven't even washed my poor car in like two weeks lol - no one even looks at it any more.

As soon as I get it installed, I'll get pics and post them. Sorry dude

Keep your head up man and focus on what is important, your dad and getting pictures of your installed spoiler up on NICO

I refuse to take any car to the dealership. I just heard of a guy paying Toyota $700 to replace an evap canister on his truck. I almost fell out of my chair, but I was drunk so maybe it wasn't as shocking as I thought.

had it for some time now, I think it takes about 3 weeks for them to prime it and do other coatings on it, so ur looking at about a month from the order date till u get it. Trust me u want to wait for this grille, its great.

that mofo had to have seen that shyt on Nico and then tried it. I guess he cut the LED strip and wedged that **** in there real good to get it to fit. I haven't even fully installed mine since I'm thinking of getting rid of my car.

I dunno. We'll see how it all plays our at the dealership. I dunno what I want though! I'm so mixed! G Coupe or TL? G Coupe or TL? I just know it'll suck commutting to work in a G Coupe, even if I get the X option with auto AWD. ::sigh:: I'd look so much better in a G Coupe than a TL lol
