First of all thereis no such thing as an 84 280zx, also no easter bunny. this might explain part of your problems, the 280zx was made form 79-83 and was available as a turbo from 81-83 only. The 81 uses a completely unique ecu, wiring, distibtor and cas, and the 82-83 also uses a unique harness ecu and distributor but it's far more comon as it was used for 2 years
unfortunatey you bought someone elses modified harness an now have to modify it to fit your chassis which by the way is another piece of the puzzle, as the wiring in your 76 is far different fomr the wiring in my 71
assuming you have an 82-83, there are only a few connections to be made, a few wires near the battery provide the power and grouns as well as the fuel pump turn on, then the ignition, and tach must be wired in near the coil and then just a couple more wires inside the cab, I'll see if I can fid hedirections for you, it's not hard
