S30 Fender Mirrors

Does anyone know if its illegal to put the exterior mirrors on your fenders like the jdm s30?

you are only required to have one mirror and thats the drivers side the passanger side is optional, I'd think location does not matter, some older american cars put the mirrors on the fenders as well

on my dad's wrangler the mirrors aren't mounted on the original spots. he has them mounted on the windshield and is planning on moving them to the hood. so no i don't believe there is anything illegal about it. in fact, i planned on putting my mirrors on the fenders on my s130

Nothing illegal about it at all.

You'll get a lot of flack about them though cause no one is used to where the mirrors are mounted on the jspec cars.

This one has been driven in California for years. It was even officially Federalized back in 1987. No problems with fender mirrors here in California.
