Does any one here have any ideas as to getting these two working together?

My first thought is getting all the necessary wiring diagrams and sensors for the two to see what jives and what doesn't.

My next thought was how you might go about changing the tach so you aren't wasting the last 1/4 of it. I think that would entail recalibrating for the VH's redline as well as changing the numbers on the tach itself.

What do you guys think?

If you just want a digital dash why not something like this:

would probably be easier to get working than a S2000 cluster.

I don't really need or want 1-3k worth of gauges plus I don't like the look of it.

If I was building a track only car I would definitely consider it though.

I'd ask Toby Broadfield for his opinion. (Broadfield is his screen name) He's done some pretty trick stuff with gauges and might have a hint or two.

I've seen toby's HUD and other gauge work. It's pretty sick stuff.

I think I will shoot him a few questions.

Racepak UDX

Much, much, much easier than an S2K dash, easily upgradeable (if you want more information all you need to do is buy a <$100 sensor). They retail for $625.

Not really the type of input I'm looking for but thanks anyway.

I don't see using either of the clusters suggested being any easier to wire or setup than the S2000 cluster. I still have a bunch of wires to splice, I have to use a speed converter, and I have to figure out a way to cleanly integrate it into the interior. On top of that they both cost significantly more than an S2k cluster and don't look as good(in my opinion).
