i posted this before but did really get an answer i didnt want to keep draggin it up cause noone will read it.hers the problem: when i turn the ignition to the acc position then turn the key back to off the dash led lights and my pfc commander stay on and i have to start the car and turn it off to get the ecu/dash lights to turn off. whats wierd is that if i turn the car all the way on then turn it off everything turns off with the car it only happens when you turn the key to the acc position. WHERE SHOULD I BEGIN TO LOOK FOR THE CAUSE when i start to trouble shoot it??? i dont know much about the wiring harness on the rb/s13 swap and doubt diagrams are available. xat did the original wiring if it matters. thank you for any help

Sounds like your wiring conversion may not have been done properly. The ECCS relay should not be getting power until the key is in the "on" position. There should not be any power to the ECU in the "Acc" position. As you've already paid someone to do your wiring conversion, I'd suggest you contact them for support. Most reputable shops will check it as a warranty repair.

There is always the possibility that something is backfeeding power into the ECCS circuit. But if your problem started at the same time as your swap was done (and you haven't tapped wires into the harness for accessories), it's more likely to be a problem created by the guy who did your wiring.

The schematics for this engine are quite easy to find online. If you know how to use them, get a meter or a test light and check the basics. If you still have problems and the shop you paid won't help, you can contact us through our website (www.sykoperformance.com) for instructions to send the harness in for inspection.

the shop that had my car told me that they fixed the wiring and they didnt they (driven concepts) straight up lied to me and they charged me 250.00. the harness was made by xat but it was in another car before i had it put in my 89 chassis by driven concepts . when they tried to connect the dash harness they crossed some wires basically.

Then they didn't do what you paid them to do, so you should go back and tell them to fix it. I could see doing it yourself if you were on your own and bought it like that, but since you paid someone to convert the harness to your car, get them to do it right. Better business bureau and internet slander threats typically work well if they say they won't correct their mistake for free.

If the harness was working properly in the other car, the last guys to work on the car are likely to be the ones responsible for the problem. You shouldn't be paying them to fix something they screwed up. What reason did they give you when they charged the extra $250? Unless there is more to this than you have told us, you have every right to demand that they fix this for free. Whether or not they are qualified to figure out the problem is a different story.

The electrical problem you are describing is not something you are likely to fix yourself--unless you know your way around electrical circuits. Seeking advice from a forum might help, but you still need the skills to go back to the car and the schematics to diagnose the problem.

Like Darius said, go back and talk to the shop. As a consumer you have rights.
