I saw the article on speed hunters, and while I have my hopes up, my pragmatic side says to wait till TAS and see what Nissan really does. Nissan has been playing an S-chassis revival close to its chest and pulled a reversal in the past. I believe it was around 06-07 the rumor mill started heavily on an S16 and Nissan had gone on record saying they were exploring the idea, but then retracted that later and released the Z34 instead.

So in short, until Nissan explicitly says "Hey gais! We're doing it!", I try to keep my hopes in check. Been burned a few too many times now.

But I will say, the TAS description gives enough of a teaser to make you think they MIGHT actually be doing it this time. They'd be foolish not to try and get something slotted into the 20-25k range for RWD. The Toyobaru proves it's a desirable market segment. I said years ago that Nissan was shooting themselves in the foot by putting all their eggs in the Z basket.

lmao I try not to get my hopes up either. There's been to many false alarms to believe anything that I see now about an "S16". Guess we'll have to wait and see? When is the Tokyo Auto Show? like December?
