S15 transmission - Definitive Answer???

Has there been a definitive answer regarding the S15's transmission??

Is it that weak ??

is it useless for drifting, racing, dragging?

I've heard that from a lot of people too but I have one in my sr 510 and it puts down 334hp to the tires with no problems so far. Maybe the tires are the weak spot?

i have one, been driving on it pretty hard at 16psi on the stock t28. don't know how much power i'm making.i'm guessing 270ish. i also have big 295/35's in the back.so i'm not spinning much when i launch.it's been holding up nicely.

it holds up good until you start changing out turbos, in search of big power. transmissions last longer with a lighter car, which MAY be the reason that the 510 is trouble free so far. If the transmission came with the motor originally, I wouldn't worry about it too much. If you are currently using a S14 transmission, don't waste your money on something this expensive.
