Hey, I am looking for an intercooler to go with my new S15 sr20det engine. I am having a hard time determining what size the inlet and outlet ports are. Also, I can't find a intercooler kit that says that it will work with the s15 sr20det engine. I am looking to spend less than $300 on an intercooler kit. I found a nice one from CXR that is specified for the S14 sr20det, and it has 2.75" inlet/outlet ports. Will this work?

TMK intercoolers are like radiators - they're more chassis specific than engine specific. As long as the IC is for a 240sx and the piping is for an (any) RWD SR, it should fit just fine. The inlet and outlet size really doesn't matter cos you can get adapter couplings - so even if the IC has 3" openings, and the piping has 2.75 openings, and the TB has a 2.5 opening (made-up example) you can still use 3" to 2.75" couplers, and 2.75" to 2.5" couplers, and it should still work just fine. Some IC kits come that way ANYways, with the different size stuff throughout. See it alot with RB FMIC setups, too.

I could be wrong of course, but I think any s14 SR IC kit should work just fine.
