I have access to an S15 SR20 wth a six speed transmission, would that fit in my S13 as far as the drivetrain?

Its a little more complicated than other SR swaps, but people do it all the time.

Just buy a redtop. S15's are WAY overrated.

werd..

pros and cons to both..

with the s15 engine its slighty more complicated in the swap as you need the whole driveline and a custom driveshaft.

but the engine is likely to be in better condition and lower miles.

redtop are run of the mill

parts are readily available unlike s15 parts.. little harder to find and more expensive due to being a newer model.

i recently pick up a s14 blacktop with vtc and its only has 11k on it. i got lucky.

most clips are 40k+ i have found through the local shop i go through that s13 engines are basically depleted and are very hard to come by in good condition.

as well as customs is now (atleast here in cali) stopping all containers at the PORT! and checking. if its not a factory motor they ship it back and fine up to $270,000 to the importer now.

sorry forgetting alittle off topic

well I don't know, seems like the 3.5 350Z motor is starting to take over, But in the FAQ they say it wont fit, but look on U-tube and there is a bunch.

yeah.. its getting pretty bad.. but i mean from a gov stand point.. If its a IMPORTED motor where would you go first? yo cant go overseas soo...

docks here we come.

the end of swaps? i dont think so, but i do see it becoming very difficult to get anything good engine wise because everything will be **** that no one else wants that will end up making it in
