Hey guys and gals, I've been away for 4 years from the car seen, been racing bikes, but I'm looking in picking up another 240 with the S15 Spec R motor installed, below the the mods done to the car, its currently untuned running stock. I your opinion what is how much HP can I reliably run pushing the stock parts with a nice tune.

Im looking for options. will the 480 cc be able to be pushed near the 300whp

thanksJeremi

300 is possible fo sho probably even 350.

why the stage 2 - you might want more holding power if you get a bigger turbo later. I got a stage 4 from a local clutch for a lot less then an exedy.

HKS cams will also make a huge difference. thats money well spent

with the s15 t28 turbo.480cc injectors.and especially a MAP sensor.

you're good.

don't over budget, you may not need all that.

the modification are from the previous owner. Just wondering what I can get out of the stock motor with a standalone ecu. Yeh the cams seem like an awesome upgrade.

thanks for the reply kalypso123

With those mods and a little more than stock boost you should be very close to 300whp NOW! Dont go higher than 300whp on those injectors! And the s15 gt28r is good for upto 320whp and 18psi of boost. Bigger injectors, bigger Turbo, MLS head gasket and better valve train will get you 450+whp! De-tune it to 400whp and 350ft.lbs of torque if you want to keep that clutch, but if you go that far you might as well do that too.

As long as you get it tuned it will be very reliable!

Some say 350whp, some say 400whp and even some people say the stock bottom end will handle even 500whp

EDIT: The stock s15 6 speed transmission(gears) should never have more than 400whp put threw it and even that is pushing it! It has been known to break with even 300whp!

Ill be home in two weeks, I'll post some pics up. Buddies are urging me to get 400whp out of her, should be pretty good for a daily driver.

She'll be heading over to a heated garage in a few months though.

400whp is going to require quite a bit of upgrading... Turbo, injectors, intake manifold, cams... Not to mention the tune... It is do able, but I'd get what I have tuned and run that around until I got bored with it...
