Well, the office is a little nicer now. New gauges, floor mats, and maybe carpet are on short order. Other than messing around getting the sliders matched up, and bending one of the S15 rails to bolt it down and it was in.

The cat sure loved having the seat in my room

Yuck

Seat out

BIG difference

You have to swap over your stock lap belt buckle. Also, note the fabric. Grippy!

Done

But don't forget, seat rails are just metal poles connected to sprung coils springs

All in all, the seat is great. I now have no idea what to do about the passenger seat. I think I may just get a cover for it now. I dunno.

It kinda sucks I could only find one, but for the price and increase in comfort and hold, I am not gonna complain!

Where'd you buy the seat from?

I like the new one...my driver's seat looks even worse than yours did.

A local guy had bought this one, and he wanted a passenger side seat as well. The only way he could get the passenger seat was to get a set. THis seat sat in his closet for about a year I guess. I found out he had the seat through a friend, I called him, and a few days later it is in my car. Only cost $200 as well.

that's perfect though. i don't think i would want the pair. the grippy seat for the driver, then get like a real soft, luxury type sheepskin cover for the passenger..in black.

I also got a set of front S15 seats recently to replace my deteriorating s13 seats. I love them and I no longer have to brace myself as much when I take corners fast.

$600 + shipping. But if I had that kind of money to spend, I would have gone for the GT-R seats. Yum...Also, watch eBay.

I see you had to modify them to fit your S13, but is modification required for the S14?

See, that is the weird part. On NissanPerfMag* they didn't mention any modification needed. They even made a point to mention how easy b/c the holes all lined up. I mean, it was only about 15sec with the RoboGrips to get the thing lined up (the rest came when tightening the the bolt with a 1/2 drive w/ a 9" length). I dunno. Easy enough to write off.

The only hard part was lining up the back right hole (when looking into the car, the one on the lower right of the seat) up with the bracket*. See, the opposing fastener on the top right is actually a stud, welded through the floorpan, that you prop the hole on the bracket onto, then fasten in place with a nut. This limits motion a lot, so you have to give pressure to line up the back hole (that is closest to you) as it is about 1/4" off.

Had to add: After 2 full days of the seat all I can say is WOW. Amazing. The angle is soooo much better on the bottom of the seat. And the bolstering is great. The fabric is nice and grippy, so you are just held in place darting through traffic. I imagine harnesses will be useful at the track, but I dobut I will be lacking in seat grip during AutoX runs. It adds such a new feel to driving the car...for the extreme betterment. Now if I can just find a steering wheel...

I think they want both of your balls and possibly your left leg for a pair of R34 seats...

Yeah, the GT-R seats are fantastic. I actually sat in one the other night (local guy brought out his R33 GT-St to play, and he has em) but for ~$1000 there is really nothing better. Bolts right in, amazing material, perfect bolstering (about like Sparco Torinos I have sat in, not as tight as Pro 2000) and the sliders are drop in for the goofy S chassis floorpans. And hell, if even the GT-R Z-Tune comes with stock GT-R seats (although recovered in soft leather and alacantra) then they are good enough for everyone! But for the $, the S15 seat is GREAT.
