Hey guys. So I have decided that I want to try to get a S15 HLSD. So I need the output shafts and the actual HLSD.

Somebody in one thread it may be possible to order directly from NISMO USA but I can't seem to find the proper contact info.

Trying to figure out which LSD to throw $1k at makes my head hurt.

Found NISMO contact info and have a call in with a guy to find out how much everything would cost.

Still would like any other tips or leads on getting used HLSD and output shafts though.

What do you mean a scam? I just got my brand new S15 HLSD output shafts from Sam @ JSpec.com. HLSD going in this week

Well, did he send you two of the same part number (scam), or did he send you one of each, like Nissan designed the diff to take ?If he sent you 2 p/n 38220-4P061, then you have 2 long shafts.

The diff (like all other Nissan diffs) takes one long shaft & one short shaft (p/n 38220-4P060 ).

Nissan did not go thru the trouble & expense to manufactue, inventory, and sell two different length shafts for no reason.........And if you did get one of each p/n, that means sammy has finally wized up!

You know what... we just came to realize that yesterday when trying to put the diff together. I thought it was just a mistake on his part

Crap I should have looked at the part #s when I picked up the parts. Anyway, I'm gonna have one shaft modified to fit. But Sam is definetely gonna hear from me. Did you try and contact him about your 2 sets?

And I just looked at their site: http://www.jspec.com/s15hlsdshafts.html and if you look closely at the pic (click on it) they ARE the same part # in the damn pic.

"Did you try and contact him about your 2 sets?"

Well, I have, but I suspect a runaround. He first sent an e-mail to either send back all of them (wish I had), or to return 2, and he would ship the correct ones.So I called before shipping back 2 on or about the first of March, and asked what the delay was going to be.The guys at J-spec assured me that the correct parts were in stock. Then after waiting several weeks, I called (and called, and called), and finally got ahold of Sam. And of course the storry changed. He does not have the shafts as of yesterday (3-15), but assures me that they are on order. Typical BS !!

Yep usual BS. I'm still debating with him through email. And he is still claiming they are the same. I'm gonna send him some snapshots of the S15 FSM so he can either wise-up or I'm gonna have to send some friends from LA over to "collect". You want them to ask him about your stuff??

Well, his last story was that he has them on order, and they are coming in air frieght. So I will wait till the end of the week (3-26).

Right now I have 2 of his shafts, that I can import the mates to. But he has the other 2 that I paid for, and thus owes me replacements or $300 ! If he falls short of taking care of what he owes me, YES, I would be very interrested in having someone 'collect' !

I have found out that calling the local law inforcement is useless.Unless the amount is over $10,000, they don't think that it is worth their time. Like are the asses on commision??

That is what happens when the LAW is more interested in collecting speeding tickets, and busting someone who put some aftermarket part on their car.
