hey guys and gals, i am stuck on a question i have enough money right now to buy either an s14 or and s15 front clip but i dont know which 1 to choose due to this fact i have a S13 and since i am in america i dont know whether to choose the s14 over the 15 sr20 because more parts are available stock in america for the 14 sr20 or the s15 sr cause its got 20 more hp its newer, i think it has more potential then the s14 engine plus the car is for drift purpouse so i dont think ill be upgrading turbo's or anything too crazy anytime soon. thanks and the writing is longwhich motor should i choose?

i say go s14 due to the fact that ive heard it is much harder to swap a s15 sr20 into domestic 240sx. i think it has something to do with the fact that we never got the s15 chassis so the engine mounts and wiring etc are all different. not sure on it so sumone please correct me if i am wrong.

and there are those rumors floating around that the s15 6-speed transmission isn't as sturdy as prior models. . .

Those rumors are all crap. I'd say get the S14SR just because you can get the higher flow injectors and larger turbo that are on the S15SR aftermarket and have basically the same engine. Also the transmission on the S15 clip requires some custom fab. to mount on the S13.

not just the transmission, doesnt the driveshaft have to be modified to put the s15 into a s13?
