hey guys. I've been saving and planning for doing an SR swap into my S13, and i'm pretty dead set on getting an S15 motor (with transmission and rear diff). I've searched already, but haven't been able to find much info on them. I'm sending my wiring out to Wiring Specialties, so that won't be a problem. Other than needing a custom driveshaft, what other complications or modification will be needed? Thanks ahead of time!

If you're using the s15 transmission, you will need-custom or s15 driveshaft-s15 rear diff with output shafts-wiring for speed sensor because it's located in the differential -as you already mentioned, the engine wiring harness needs to be modified.

an s15 fsm can be found in one of the stickies or in this link http://www.zeroyon.com/index/content/view/24/47/ You'll be needing this.

That's all I can think of at the moment

Add "lots of money" to the above list.

I was going to go with an S13 redtop, but I really want to do something a little bit different, and don't want to deal with an RB. The money won't be an issue. After the custom driveshaft and wiring it should only cost around $6000, but I'm budgeting 8. I know it's more expensive, but it'll be nice to do something a little bit different. Anyways. Are there any other modifications that need to be made? Custom driveshaft, "black box" for converting the speed sensor signal for USDM speedo, and the usual harness stuff. If anybody knows of something else just let me know

JUST DON'T! You will need A LOT of money to do the swap and do it ''right''. The transmission's gear are supposedly really weak and you said you wanted to do something different. More and more people are starting to do that swap. Just this past week I've seen like 3 magazines have 240's in it with a s15 swap. Don't forget about the KA-T and CA, those are still a option. Wait a little longer and do more research and be 100% that this is what you want to do and if it is then go for it. Don't worry those s15 motors wont go any ware, trust me.

Which magazines had these swaps in them? And I don't consider KA-T to be an original thing to do anymore. I know this swap will be expensive, I just want to know what I need to have done in order to make it work. Thanks for the concern, but I'm not going to order my motor for probably 3 or 4 more months, so I'll have plenty of time to keep researching and back out if I feel it's way too much. I really don't think it's too expensive for what you get; 250hp stock, a helical LSD, 6 speed transmission, and some good old bragging rights. I'm not planning on pushing massive horsepower for awhile, so it'll be nice to have 250hp while I let my pocket book recover from the swap. Thanks guys!
