s15 motor s14 trans

hey guys im new here and i drive a 98 240sx se i have a s15 motor and s14 trans how could the speed sencer work

i don't understand what you're trying to ask. do you want to know how the sensor operates?

cuz the s15 speed senser in the diff and s14 in the trany how could that work

you'd have to have a s15 speed sensor hooked up to the s14 transmission or else you'd get the wrong speed reading.

same thing if you put a s13 transmission in a s14. if you use the s13 speed sensor with the transmission your speed will read double. so you need to drill the holes to install the s14 speed sensor into the s13 transmission.

note: i've never done it so i'm not 100%

I think you use plug from the lower KA harness and the stock sensor from the S14 SR trans you already have.
