S15 Legalization

I am looking for information about legalizing an S15, but dont know what exactly needs to be done...I know about the standard emissions and such, but I also heard that there needs to be crash tests done...if anyone knows anything more please add to the thread...

Well, what Motorex had to do was crash test several Skylines. You will also need to make various modifications to each vehicle brought in (i.e. lights, markings, safety equipment, emissions, etc...). I don't think you want to buy and crash 10 S15s just so you can have one...

Hopefully Motorex will do that just so I dont have to worry bout that stuff. An S15 would look just dandy in my future garage.

Motorex (site appears down at this time) states on thier site, that they are not even toying with the idea of importing S15's. They only specialize in the importing / legalization of SKYLINES. There is a hefty cost in importing these vehicles into the US for legalization.

Skylines have a more famous name than Silvias. It might not be profitable for a company to import Silvias and have to sell them for over $30K.

You're correct. It isn't so much that they are more famous, they're just better performance vehicles.
