I'm about to start my next project s15 hlsd installation on my s13. I know I should buy new side oil seals, gasket and replace them. Are there other parts I should take care of? How about front oil seal, shims, bolts, nuts, breather, clips or washers...etc? I want to get ready before I drop the diff. Here's the R200 diagram. If you've done this before, please feel free to give me any tips or suggestions. I've read several articles, so have good idea on how to do it although I've never worked on diff before. Thanks!!!

The pinion gear is a pain to get out -- you should be fine with just replacing your oil seals on the diff. The bearings aren't really a wear bearing, like wheel bearings are.

Thanks guys. Just picked up gasket and seals today. Total was just under $50 including tax, and luckily, dealership had them in stock. I'll do this upgrade soon, take a lot of pics and do the write up for other people. I've never worked on differential before, so it will be interesting. Parts numbers are in the pics below.

Yeah, unless yours are leaking, I'd say don't sweat it.

The axle seals are easy, find a big-*** socket that matches the size of the seal, and a rubber mallet.

You can return the rear cover seal, use RTV instead.

Okay, great tips. I have a big socket, and I'll return the cover seal since I have a tube of Nissan OEM sillicone($40+). Sillicone sealant has been working better for me anyway.

I forgot that I also picked up a breather. Price is including the breather. What was the best weight for the diff oil? I know I need to get Redline BTW.
