S15 HLSD in an S13 open diff case

This is a Helical Limited Slip Differential from a 2002 JDM Spec-R S15 Silvia in Japan. Will it fit in my 1993 s13 open differential case? I can get new halfshafts if needed. A cover for the back can be aquired also. I just want to know if i'm waisting my time adn money here.

anything JDM is not a waste of time, you make it work. i actually know little to nothing about LSD swaps, but i am giving it my 2 thumbs up.

im sorry there is ALOT of JDM stuff that is CRAP. have you seen some of the mini-vans thay have over there? how about the sope boxes on wheels.

From what I understand the biggest problem with putting in a S15 diff was actually the carrier itself. Speed sensor being there. I dont think the dimensions were differnt though so the actually diff should fit in there. Just pull down your carrier and give it a go. I'm sorry I cannot answer the half-shaft question. After inspection hopefully you can find the answer.

They fit the housing just fine.You just need to make sure when you buy one to get it with the S-15 shafts.Nothing else will fit because the S15 uses a larger spline.Your stock ring gear fits just fine also.

I just put one in my s13 3 weeks and it great. just like importer says it will drop right in, but you do NEED THE S15 SHAFTS!!!!
