I was looking into buying one of those as well but I was searching through the freshalloy forums and I found that the gear on those limited slips is 10% taller than a 240s. It will make the car accelerate slower basically.

But can't you just unbolt the hlsd housing from the ring gear and bolt it onto your vlsd ring gear? is there a reason this is not possible? ie: the s13 halve shaft splines do not match the hlsd's female splines?

From what I've heard there is nothing different with the splines. You just switch the ring gear and your fine.

As long as someone can confirm this i'll believe it, but in my opinion I doubt a 240sx ring gear can bolt on to an S15 hlsd. Theres a good amount of false info floating around.

Search on the board, I believe someone explained the process.

well i have a vlsd in my car right now... and the hlsd is out of an r200 rear end just like the vlsd... i think the ring gear may be interchangeable... hmm, anyone else have any thoughts on this?

i don't know about it fitting...but I do know that they have a 3.69 ratio..compared to the 4.08 stock ratio this is going to slow you down like hell.

:bash thats why we're trying to figure out if the ring gear is interchangeable.

If the ring gears are interchangeable I'll take the 3.69 set off yer hands.
