After much researching and finding out how to install a s15 helical lsd properly, work was worth it down to every penny. The helical LSD performs exactly the same as my friends Nismo 2 way LSD. not as much in the decelleration portion.

I stuck the S15 LSD Hemisphere into a s13 hicas housing case with the axles and just bolted them on(after i rebuilt the axles and joints) This LSD sure performs alot better than any VLSD. I still spent 415 bucks to install this beauty. to include the LSD i got a deal on, the housing and redline gear oil.

LSD, one word. Bit$hin.

Anyone else performed any such operation?

will it fit in a non-hicas s13 diff?

(now that I write this, it might be a dumb question... but still)

What are the details of the swap?I was told that the s15 diff uses 30tooth splines not 29t as on the s13 axle stubs. Also I was told that the ring gear bolts are 13mm not 12 or 10 and on other models.

All I have is a diff. No ring and pinion, axle stubs, are case.

Could anyone finish off this discussion with the answer to the ring gear bolt question?

I bought the splined hubs with my lsd, and all that's left is the 12mm/13mm question...

Thanks

Please do. I'd much rather have a Helical diff than a Viscous one, but I'm not ready to shell out the grand or so that a Kaaz or Quaife will require.

how much did you pay for the S15 lsd signal?

or if anyone else could give me an estimate, that would be great.

Also, whats the FD on a S15?? thanks in advance.

what stub axles did you use, and was that the same housing that came in your car? my 96 doesnt have abs, so that means it has the shorter pumpkin, ill be gettin a new driveshaft from enjuku soon, and I would love to have the hlsd also. will a s13 housing fit in an s14? it should shouldnt it?

Are there any updates on what it takes to get the S15 HLSD into a non-hicas non-abs S13?

Thanks,-VA240

I'd just get a used hicas pumkin and use that. Or you could swap the whole subframe from an S15. BTW, where are you in VA?
