my s15 hlsd is about to arrive and i have searched but only found info from european dudes....

what fluid should i use with this new diff, and how much should i buy?

80-90w is fine

i think i used mobil one synthetic?

either that, royal purple, or AMS

nothing fancy

dont mean to thread jack but i am planning on getting an hsld.
does it act like and open when one wheel is in the air. for example getting stuck on driveways?

dont have mine yet, and i dont think it should, but im glad im not the only one who had that happen with an open...lol

well it hastn happen to me yet. bu im getting coils soon. :yesnod

but i think i read that the hsld sometimes acts like an open diff. idk :confused:

i read this
" If there's no resistance from the other gear, it will just turn. This is why, technically, a helical limited slip isn't really a limited slip. Put one wheel on ice and the other on pavement, and there won't be enough resistance to prevent all the power from going to the ice."
