Hey i have a s14 with a six speed s15 gearbox in it and my speedo doesnt work. It has a speed sensor on the gearbox wich i have hooked up to the wires that went to the old auto gearbox but speedo does not work. Tried buyin a electric speedo that you can change the pulse setting on but that doesnt work either. my mechanic checked that the gear on the sensor was in good condition before installing the box but dont know if the electrics side of the sensor could be broken?? anyone know of a solution to this or got any ideas?? thanks :)

S15 transes have the speed sensor in the rear diff housing, not the gearbox.

That would be the first i've ever heard of that. Nismo has a 6 speed that utilizes a standard rear gearbox housing so s13 and s14 owners can use a regular vss. I would check inside the hole to make sure there's a gear on the tail shaft to drive the vss. After that, crack out an fsm and start chasing problems. I would start with voltage output of the vss and then continuity
