Hmm, sound's interesting. It is still in the clip or is it a motor set. Has it been install in a car in the US? Email me at todd225@(remove)bellsouth.net. I am in AL so local pickup may be possible. One last question...why is he selling for that when HT and others are $1500 more?

Ok I am getting a 240 with a stock sr20det (type 3 I believe) already installed in it. I still would like to upgrade the stock lsd on it and would really like to have the spec-r 6-speed transmission. Or I might be able to get them to install a whole s-15 setup (lsd, transmission, motor) as part of the deal here.

But I would like to find out; Is it possible to trade a spec-r 6-speed transmission onto the SR20DET that is already in there? Is that good, bad, what are some concerns? Or, would it be more sensible not to put the 6-speed spec-r transmission where the 5-speed used to be on the non spec-r SR20DET?

Also, about this helical lsd that comes with the s15 setup; is it 2 way, 1.5, or something different altogether? It's not clutch contolled or a viscous right? Isn't the helical components part viscous in some aspect though? Which one of these would last longer hold up better?

I don't really get which lsd types are better for drifting. would the helical lsd be considering good in drifting, how about the 1.5 or 2 way? From what I read about the clutch controlled lsd are nicer than the viscous tpe but what's up with this helical type. And I still hear conflicting statements about which 1.5 or 2 way is preffered for drift, :help please

Im still trying to get in touch with the guy who has the engine.

Or, would it be more sensible not to put the 6-speed spec-r transmission where the 5-speed used to be on the non spec-r SR20DET? Well i haven't herd of any one doing a 6 speed swap in a s14 or 13 there probally has been done i just havent gotten wind of it yet. But i know that you can put a Sr 5 speed transmission on a S15 spec-R

Also, about this helical lsd that comes with the s15 setup; is it 2 way, 1.5, or something different altogether? It's not clutch contolled or a viscous right? Isn't the helical components part viscous in some aspect though? Which one of these would last longer hold up better?

Now as i stated b4 i have little knowlege of the s15 b/c im never going to buy the car or the engine. I have no idea which the lsd is a 1.5 or 2 way lsd. I don't think that its a clutch type though so dont falme if it is. I think that the Clutch type would hold up longer again not sure do some research im not a Nissan Encylopedia.

For drifting for straight drift car i say 2 way. For a street/drift 1.5 might be the best. Yes the clutch is alot nicer and grab alot more but its from what i've herd its less streetable. Helical....Um read this for what it is. im thinking for straight drifting 2way is the only way.

97 model already has a turbo SR in it with low miles, although the whole thing car included is complete stock. Sorry late response I lost it and had to find the topic by my email.

I don't know if I want to convert it to s15 with a setup like this or get wheels/ tires, coilovers, and other suspension which I can get just about any choice of if I do that instead of buying this setup and paying for install.
