No one on this board has done the S15 swap. There aren't too many of them out there.

Q: how many zillion of dollars do you need for a s15 swap?

A: waaay too much for most people.

If you ask me, you are going to have a hard time. That's quite a bit of modification involved in getting that 6 speed to mount properly in the S13 chassis (as you have).

You'd probably been better off getting a S13/S14 and then paying for the NISMO 6-speed w/ associated tidbits (which is stronger and closer ratioed), and bolts on to the S13 chassis (speedo works like it should, etc). It'll land you at probably a little less cash if you do the work yourself, versus the S15 clip, which you can't do yourself unless you are good at fabrication.

To be honest I'm really jealous that you have a S15 clip in your backyard!!! :) You'll probably be only one of the handful of people in the US that has done the swap. But have fun doing it, you'll be very happy with the car when you are done. Let us know how it goes!!!

Im really thinking about getting the S15 motor setup, but I am still torn. I can afford any SR20DET engine setup, so price isn't huge, but its still a factor. My reasons are that the S15 turbo is a really nice one and you can go to substantial boost levels with it. So if I got the S15 I would probably keep the stock turbo. But if I got the S13 or S14 I would eventually upgrade to something like a GT3037 or something a bit smaller. The problem with those turbos is that they cost over or close to 2 grand along with a nice manifold your in about 3 grand. Red tops cost about an average of 2400 plus 3 grand your at the price of a S15. Also S15s are basically brand new motors. The six speed is so so but if you keep the stock S15 turbo you probably wont get over 350 hp after the head is built. Im still not sure though. The motor will be going into a S14 240 SX SE chasis. What do you guys think about my ideas. The car will be mostly for the street and maybe a couple auto crosses and runs at the local drag strip.

You are going to need some special blessing. Not discouraging you though, hope you have a shop manual for both car and engine. If I were you I would have chosen a Red top sr20det. Well I did :rolleyes :rolleyes You need to get the car running first before you add all the other stuff. Have to admit I might be able to help you so give a holla if you need it. I know I will hear you when you do. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
