ok as to the fact i am still new, im sure both questions have been answered many times over, BUT i have 2 inportant questions,

1. I am getting a silvia s15 front conversion for my 89 2dr coupe, need a recomendation for a company to go threw for it

2. i am odvously going to turbo the car, i made the decision to stick with the KA24E mainly because it's allready in and it in remarkable shape, however this is a budget build so i'll probly have to buy evreything peace by peace and i'll most likley fabricate the pipe work, but what i need is the following....

Type of turbo (stage 1 build all around 7-10 psi is fine)I need a detailed list of what i need to buy as i have never personaly built a turbo car some of the abrevations used on the forums spin me for a loss,so if someone can tell me what i will need i would be EVER SO HAPPY :D

things to keep in mind...the motor has 70k miles on it, perfect compression wasnt drivin much, the motor mounts will be replaced from stock to polly because i dont feal like slaming my pipes into a fiberglass bumper, budget is around a grand...and please be as clear as possible, im placing all my trust in your knowlage...

MSN messenger name is [email protected] also my email if it would be easer to discuss on that as to not anger people with my future noob question then feal free to add me..

any help is great help thanks

When your asking a question that your sure has " been answered many times over" why not try the blinking search button...thats why we made it blink so that you would click it instead of making ANOTHER thread for other users who actualy do search to weed through.

Go Search, post links to what you find in this thread (so that people who look later dont waste their time here) then we will be more then happy to help you with any remaining questions.

Make sure that you search through post bodies as well if your having trouble finding results.

...ok well in the postes ive seen it talks about the s15 conversion i have yet to see one mention a company that dosnt sell junk conversion so as helpfulish as the reply was i still need a recomendation, and even a link to a step by step turbo install would be extreemly helpful to my situation, i would like to know and see how they are installed i have built many motors but this is my first venture into the turbo world and im not sure or dont want to mess up on how it's installed, looks pretty simple from what i can tell but im still not 100% sure of where some vacume lines and other lines go.....

it was like 5 inches longer than the car.

BTW add cat back to your list, need a bigger exhaust for the turbo.

im affraid you might be on something, the s15 front is for rounder cars. The coupe is a box.

well your opinion is your opinion im not going to bash what you think, however i will take your advise on the conversion, just did some homework and your not the only one that got a BS kit from them...so i'll go threw someone else, as for the exhaust i have a 3in catback sysytem from 5zeigin allready for the car, it's allready on it. but a question about my list is should i also get a upgrade fuel pump along with the injectors, or should i worrie about that if and or when i upgrade the boost and hp?

also if you find me a picture of a nice s13 conversion i'll coneder it but thus far i have yet to see one i like

Welcome Nismo400R33GTR!

Your not far from me. I live in Green Bay.

Nice project you've got in mind. Awesome that you can fabricate piping and do all the paint and stuff yourself. Maybe I'll have to hit you up sometime regarding painting my car.

Anyhow... To answer a few of your questions. I would call Intensepower.com regarding your S15 front end. They are a NICO sponsor. They carry a ton of parts for 240's. They probably have a few different options for S15 front bumpers and stuff.

Regarding the turbo setup.. NICO's KA-T forum is your new best friend. Here's a link to the FAQ's and links thread with tons of info. zerothread/99647

For the MAF sensor... Z32 is the most common upgrade, but you might be just fine using the stock KA MAF and a SAFC to run it for your desired hp level.

But, with your turbo setup, keep one thing in mind. There is never enough hp! I would always advise building it for more than you need or want because inevitably you will want more later.

NICO has a wealth of information about the topics you've discussed, so try the search button. But if you don't find what you are looking for, don't hesitate to ask more questions.

As for the S15 front conversation. Lot's of guys think the S15 doesn't fit a coupe because the coupe has a square back and body lines and the S15 is very round.. The S13 is a more commonly liked swap on a coupe because it keeps the body lines nicely. BUT... it's your car! You do what YOU think is best. It's all personal opinion and if you like the S15 front. Fantastic. That blue car that you posted the pic of is very pretty!

NOW THAT is what i'm talking about... some jerk rear ended me and I had to drive around base without a bumper for a while and my car just looked SO cute with no rear bumper... that one S13 with the 15 conv looks nice but wierd.. my eyes keep shifting from the front to the back and it doesn't seem all right... the rear needs to be beefier.. How did they do the S13 hatch with no bumper look? It kinda reminds me of a corvette or a CRX. and he has my same wheels!!

Hey man, cool that you live in Green bay, and yes if you need anything body done let me know, i have 3 shops at my disposal one in oshkosh one in appleton and one here....drop me an e-mail [email protected]

Ok that s13 does actually look nice...but it's just still not me...as for the body lines on the coupe-s15 conversion...your right also it does look wrong, but i think i might have a solution, from the doors forward it looks nice odviously because it's all replaced as for the rear quater pannel im thinking of buying the rear quater pannel widebody addons but i'll do it correctly and pull the gas lid door flush to the widebody so it looks smooth not....chunky...odd way of puting it but...chunky works, that will round out the rear quite a bit and then theres the problem of the dinner table flat trunk lid...solution is to buy a flush mount combat wing so i can mold it to the trunk making the trunk rounder as well (skyline GTR wing for reffrence)

Anyone know a company that sells used or rebuilt KA24DE'S....i think what im actually going to do is buy a ka24de and engine stand it while i spend 3 grand on doing the body work i can also build up a KA24DE when it's out of the car...besides parts are 1000000000 times more available for the DE...unless to motor is to pricey, just a thought im kicking around.looked on ebay and those motors are JUNKlooked on classifides but i dont like buying things that way, like knowing someone has it when i need it sorta thing.

Bro your list looks ok... just always expect the unexpected. ya never know what kinds of problems you're gonna run into as you start the build. everything always looks great on paper but there are countless minor problems that occur along the way that add up fast. if you are going to turbo you engine i would urge you to get higher flow injectors, an electric fuel pump, and a fuel pressure regulator... the last thing you wanna do is lean out on the top end and burn up a valve. i know you don't plan on running alot of boost but these things protect you engine. as a rule a leaner fuel/air mix makes more power but running a little bit rich never hurt anyone! also remember that you get what you pay for
