S15 Alternator Question

Will the s13 alternator fit an s15motor.. sr20det engine...

If not what do i need to do to mod it if possible?????

It should fit. I don't have any experience handling an S15 alty, but there's no reason it should be any different than an S13 one. If you have access to one, or a KA alty, double check the plugs are the same

Ive read that they are different and some sort of modification needs to be done...but i just cant find out what it is that it needs to fit it =(

I do know the S14 Alternator is different from the S13 Alternator. If I remember correctly to go from S13 harness to S14 Alternator you have to drill out the alternator ring connector.

But if youre going the reverse direction. AFAIK, it should require no modification.

Do the second and third gen altenators bolt up like a KA? As in they have a threaded bottom hole?
