Ok so aside from the headlights, is there really any difference body wise or even performance wise between the two? I am looking at bodykits and it seems like there are more out there for the Kouki then there are for the Zenki... So I can use the same bodykits with the exception of the front fascia right. Also where there any changes mechanically between the two, I've seen that there are a couple instances where you need to get a different part ie the AEM Intake needs an adapter for it to work.

From my understanding nothing is different mechanically, except that the 95 is OBD1 and that intake thing.

I once had a kouki driver tell me that my doors felt much heavier than his. I told him that they were probably the same doors, but his car wasn't around so we had no way of comparing.

I'd be really surprised if Zenki doors were heavier than Kouki doors. Anyways, just a thought - maybe someone else can chime in to prove/disprove this.

Ok here we go, asking this ? will probably start a war kind of like S13 Coupe vs Hatch.

Anyway mechanically no the Zenki and Kouki are the same. The difference visually is that the Zenki and Kouki have different fascia's meaning that the hood/bumber/grille/headlights/fenders are different and so are the radiator core supports. The taillights are different and so are the gauge clusters. Other than that they are the same. As for door weights I am going to venture and say they are the same. The early '95's were OBDI the later '95's were OBDII and so was everyother 240 from there on.

Yes there are much more aero kit options for the Kouki since it is the more popular and known style of S14. Some guy at the wheel store saw my car and asked if I was going to get the Silvia front end conversion... WTF??? I tried to figure out what he meant but to this day I am still lost.

IMO Zenki's look better on the chassis because of the line flow and shape but don't get me wrong K's are hott as f*ck but you need the right aero and a K wing to bring it all together.

i found an article stating that Zenki's have a bit more aerodynamic advantage over kouki. the advantage is small at best but if that kinda stuff matters to you then its something you might want to consider. i'll try to look for that article if anyone is intersted.

I was just about to ask the question of why my '95 is OBDII. Thanks for answering.

Also, I totally agree with your last paragraph.

My s14 was the early 95 so it has both OBD II and OBD I ports(OBD I on the fuse box, OBD II under glove box) and they both work...it's just that for the MODIS or other scan tools it asks to use the OBD I port...the OBD II I believe is a generic port
